What Human Design is
Human Design is a modern system that weaves together astrology, the I Ching, the chakra system, and the Kabbalah into a single diagram called the bodygraph. From your birth moment it maps two charts — your conscious "Personality" and your unconscious "Design," set roughly three months earlier — and lights up centers, gates, and channels.
Out of that comes the part people actually use day to day: your Type, your Strategy for engaging with life, and your Authority — the inner mechanism you're designed to make decisions from. It's less about personality labels and more about energy mechanics.

Say a chart comes out as a Generator with Sacral Authority, Profile 3/5, with defined Sacral and Throat centers. In Human Design terms, that reads roughly like this: a person with steady, renewable energy who's designed to respond to what shows up (rather than force things), whose most reliable "yes/no" comes as a gut response in the moment, who learns through trial and error, and who others tend to look to for practical solutions.
None of that is a fixed verdict — it's a framework for noticing how your energy actually works. And it's exactly the kind of claim AstroWise likes to cross-check: does the "responder" theme show up in your astrology or numerology too? When it does, the signal gets stronger.
Why birth time really matters here
Of all nine systems, Human Design is the most sensitive to birth time. A shift of a couple of hours can change your Authority, your profile — even your Type.
