How your report is built
AstroWise is not a generic AI astrology generator. This page explains where the interpretations come from, how your chart is analyzed, and exactly where AI fits — and where it doesn't.
Why AstroWise exists
Most astrology readings rely on a single system. A single system can identify a real pattern — but on its own, there's no way to tell a well-supported theme from one interpretation among many. Different practitioners, and even different days, can produce different readings.
AstroWise was built to reduce that guesswork. Instead of leaning on one method, it compares your chart across nine astrological and symbolic systems and gives more weight to the themes that several of them point to. The interpretations themselves were researched, one rule at a time, from the published work of established astrologers, authors, and practitioners across the nine systems — then encoded into the program so the same rule is applied consistently to every chart.
Our commitment is simple: be specific about what the reports are, show the chart evidence behind every claim, and be honest about the role of software and AI. Astrology is an interpretive tradition, not a science — we treat it that way.

How your report is built, step by step

Your chart is calculated
Your birth date, time, and place are used to compute the relevant placements and cycles astronomically. These are calculated, not generated — the program does not guess your placements.

The researched rules are applied
For each placement, the program looks up the relevant interpretive rules from its encoded library — around 1,700 documented rules across the nine systems — and applies them to your specific chart.

Themes are compared across systems
The findings from all nine systems are compared. Where several systems point to the same theme, it is given more weight. Where they disagree, the disagreement is noted rather than hidden.

The report is written and checked
AI organizes the supported findings into clear, readable language, and the program checks the result against your calculated chart before it is delivered.
The researched rule library
The value in AstroWise is the rule library, not the AI. Each rule links a specific chart configuration to a documented interpretation, researched from the published work and teachings of established astrologers, authors, and practitioners across the nine systems. In Western astrology, for example, the library draws on interpretive work associated with authors such as Robert Hand, Steven Forrest, Jan Spiller, Jeffrey Wolf Green, Liz Greene, and Demetra George; the other systems draw on their own classical and contemporary sources.
These authors and sources have no affiliation with AstroWise and do not endorse it. We reference their published interpretations as sources; we do not reproduce their texts.
When interpretations conflict: different systems don't always agree. When they contradict, the finding is treated more cautiously and the contradiction is disclosed in the report rather than smoothed over.

The role of AI — and its limits

Reports are generated automatically. We do not claim that a human astrologer personally reviews every report — the quality checks are built into the program.
The AstroWise Confidence Score
Some findings carry an AstroWise Confidence Score. It reflects how strongly the relevant systems and timing indicators support the same theme — how many of the nine point to it, how weighty the underlying cycles are, and whether they converge on the same timing window. A higher score means stronger agreement within the AstroWise methodology. It is not a statistical probability or a guarantee that an event will happen exactly as described.
The scoring is deliberately conservative. A finding supported by a single system is capped well below a finding confirmed by several, full multi-system agreement is capped short of certainty, and no score is ever presented as a scientifically measured probability. A higher score means stronger agreement within the methodology — not a guarantee that something will happen exactly as described.
Birth time, and what the reports are for
Birth-time accuracy. A more precise birth time produces more precise results, especially for the time-sensitive parts of the chart. If you don't know your exact time, you can still order — those sections are treated more generally. Our free Birth Time Rectifier can help estimate and narrow a likely time range from your life events; it estimates a range, it does not verify an exact time.
What the reports are for. AstroWise is for self-insight, reflection, and entertainment. The reports are interpretive, not predictions of fact, and are not a substitute for professional medical, financial, legal, or psychological advice. Please don't make important decisions based solely on a report.
Methodology: common questions
Which astrology system is most accurate?+
No single system is provably "most accurate" — astrology is an interpretive tradition, not a science, and each system has its own strengths and blind spots. That's exactly why AstroWise doesn't pick one. It reads your chart across nine astrological and symbolic systems and gives more weight to the themes several of them agree on, rather than trusting any one system to be right on its own.
Is astrology scientifically proven?+
No. Astrology is an interpretive tradition, and we treat it that way. The chart calculations are astronomical and precise, but the meanings drawn from them are symbolic interpretations, not scientific findings. AstroWise reports are for self-insight and reflection — not proof, and not a substitute for professional advice.
